Neil is a photographer based in the New York and New Jersey area, working across corporate, commercial, headshot, and portrait photography. With a strong technical foundation and decades of professional experience, he is widely recognised for both his photography and his expertise in lighting.
Alongside his commercial work, Neil teaches photography workshops and seminars focused on lighting techniques and flash photography. He is the author of five books on flash photography, several of which have been translated into Polish, German, Portuguese, and Chinese, reflecting the international reach of his educational work.
Neil’s practical understanding of lighting and visual communication informs every project, whether working with executives, commercial clients, or portrait subjects. His approach combines technical precision with a clear, approachable style that allows subjects to feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera.
In addition to his photography and teaching career, Neil also received an Emmy Award for timelapse photography, further reflecting the breadth of his visual experience and technical skill.
